What Every Triathlete Needs to Know About Scapulothoracic Stability.

The scapulae (shoulder blades) serve as the foundation to arm movement and function. Scapular weakness and malpositioning is relatively common in triathletes yet does not receive enough attention when it comes to triathlon training and injury prevention. A wide array of shoulder and neck problems can develop in the face of scapular problems which can not only sideline you from training but could also end your career as a triathlete. This workshop will review five exercises that every triathlete should incorporate to their training routine to ensure optimal scapular function.
