2011 Frederick James Overton, II Tribute Triathlon:

The Tribute Triathlon was created to remember our friends and loved ones who were committed to a healthy lifestyle but were taken from us far too early in life.

To honor them, the Tribute Triathlon has created an event challenging enough to entice the seasoned triathlete yet shorter in distance to attract the beginners who may be looking to participate in their first open water triathlon.

In light of the recent tragedies of high school athletes proceeds will go toward athetic heart screening in the surrounding community.

Last year athletic heart screens found two students with cardiac defects leading to timely treatment.

Children 7-14 are welcome to participate in the Kids Bike & Run Duathlon on friday afternoon at 4PM at Windsor High School - 210 North Street.
