_ The 2017 CITA Des Moines Dirty Duathlon is our annual bike/run race on single-track trails.
Join us for a fun day of mountain biking and trail running on Center Trails at Greenwood Park! The course will incorporate two new miles of professionally built single-track trail that passes through an old growth forest, includes super fun, flowy downhill, a creek crossing, and plenty of lung-busting climbing.
Rock the Duathlon on your own, or partner up (1 runner, 1 cyclist) if you’re not ready to tackle the whole thing alone.
**100% of the proceeds will go toward maintaining and building our single-track trails.**
Free kids race will be either a "1 lap run and 1 lap bike", or "2 laps run and 2 laps bike" depending on ability. This will be held in the grassy area by the shelter and will not be utilizing the dirt trails.
Course Information:
Kids Duathlon (FREE) – 1 or 2 laps run around the park, 1 or 2 laps bike around the park
Dirty Duathlon (Solo and Relay) – 2.2-mile trail run, 10-mile mountain bike, 2.2-mile trail run

Start and Finish will be near the Jay Spence Shelter at Greenwood Park - from Grand Avenue, turn south onto 45th Street, then left up the hill toward the Jay Spence Shelter and look for signs.
