Distances: based upon age on 12/31/2017

Parents, this is an open water swim. Not a pool swim. Kids must be able to swim these distances without stopping or help. This will be a very safe swim. We will have ample lifeguards and will space the swimmers out for better viewing and safety. The Junior 100 yard swim is point-to-point. It will be a straight line parallel to shore. There is a 15 foot wide and 18 inch deep safety shelf running parallel to shore. This is a bit of a safety net if needed. Lifeguards will be standing on the edge of the safety shelf and athletes swimming just beyond the lifeguards and safety shelf. Lifeguards will also be posted on the opposite side in kayaks and paddle boards creating a lane for swimmers. This is an excellent 1st open water swim course for your Junior.
