-) 2017 MultiRace Turkey Triathlon & Duathlon:
MultiRace is proud to present the 6th Annual Turkey Triathlon, held annually at beautiful Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek, Florida. Start a NEW TRADITION!
The swim is in a calm lake with no waves. The bike is super safe, completely inside the park with no vehicular traffic. The run goes along the scenic lake path, making a very spectator friendly 2-loop course.
Course Information:
Swim:
• The swim is a 1/4-mile swim in Tradewinds’ lake.
• It is a great race for first timers as the water is flat with no current or waves, so it makes for an easy swim.
• Duathletes will start with a short .75 mile run instead of the 1/4-mile swim.
Duathlon 1st Run:
The duathlon first run course starts outside of the bike end of transition.
• It heads north, makes a counter-clockwise loop around the Tradewinds Park North Parking Lot, then returns on the path next to the lake.
• The duathlon first run will be 3/4 mile.
Bike:
• The bike course makes 2 loops around the south and north ends of Tradewinds Park.
• The course is closed to cars and is completely contained inside of the park.
• There are also no hard U-turns on the course, making for a fast and easy bike split.
Run:
• The run course goes along the path next to the lake in a counter-clockwise fashion.
• Athletes will complete 2 laps here as well to make 3 miles.
Transition:
• The transition area is located on the north side of the lake.
• Parking will be on your left hand side.
Directions:
Take the Florida Turnpike to Sample Road, and then go west.
At the first stoplight, turn left into Tradewinds Park (South Entrance).
