2017 Life Time Tri Comes To San Diego:
Get your goggles, bikes and running shoes ready for Life Time Tri San Diego's three short course triathlons on October 15, at South Shores Park on Mission Bay, where the very first modern triathlon was held in 1974.
The triathlons offered include: Super Sprint Triathlon, a .24-mile swim, 6.35-mile bike and 1.65-mile run; Sprint Triathlon, a .46-mile swim, 12.06-mile bike and 3.08-mile run; Mixed Relay, comprised of four competitors, each competitor will complete the super sprint course, a .24-mile swim, 6.35-mile bike and 1.65-mile run.
Course Information:
• The race features the Sprint Distance, a .46 mile swim, a 12.06 mile bike and a 3.08 mile run; or the SuperSprint Distance features a .24 mile swim, 6.35 mile bike and 1.65 mile run.
• The swim course is held in the boat launch, immediately east of Sea World and in the protected waters of Mission Bay.
• Once ashore, athletes hit the bike course along Sea World Drive and around Fiesta Island.
• The run course takes athletes through South Shores Park toward the Fiesta Causeway and back before entering the chute within a raucous Finish Festival.

Directions:
Life Time Tri San Diego is held at South Shores Park in Mission Bay, site of the first modern triathlon in 1974.
Public parking is available at South Shores Park (S Shores Park Dy, San Diego, CA 92109). This lot fills quickly, so early arrival is highly encouraged.
Additional parking is available along the San Diego flood channel that runs parallel to Sea World Drive. Vehicles will turn left at the stoplight to access this lot, rather than turning right into the park.
Sea World Drive will be closed starting at 6:30 a.m. Spectators arriving after 6:30 a.m. will need to park in the dirt lot at the corner of Sea World Drive and Pacific Highway; approximately a half mile from the race site.
