The 2017 One More Tri is more than a race - it’s a Unified Triathlon Experience where triathletes of all skill levels compete side-by-side with Special Olympics athletes. This race is inspired by a simple principle: the act of competing together ensures a quick path to understanding, acceptance, and friendship.
All proceeds of the One More Tri support Special Olympics New Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides free year-round sports training and athletic competition in 24 Olympic-type sports for more than 25,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities.
ONE MORE TRI is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and is the culiminating race for Special Olympics New Jersey's triathletes.
The One More Tri is an event for athletes of all ability levels, from the first-time triathlete to the seasoned competitor. Select from triathlon, duathlon or aquavelo, each available in sprint & super sprint distances.
Teams of friends, family members, triathlon/running clubs, corporations, school and other community groups are encouraged! Show your team spirit by registering under your team name. Each team with 5 or more participants are eligible for special perks!
We also offer a relay option for those who prefer to participate in only one element of the race. Relays consist of three (3) members, where each member will complete one leg of the event. Relays may be made up of any three participants, regardless of their gender or age (must be 8 or older).
