The 14th Annual Capital City Kid's Triathlon is the perfect introduction into the world of triathlon races for children of all ages. Compete in historic Carson City and its amazing facilities. The swim will take place at the Carson Aquatic Facility's indoor Olympic size pool. The Bike and Run courses meander through iconic Mills Park, following winding pathways and crossing quaint bridges over the bubbling creek that flows through the park.
This year, Carson City Parks and Recreation with the Carson Tigersharks Swim Team are partnering up with Washoe County, Sparks, and Reno Parks and Recreation Departments for a Kids' Triathlon Series. Compete in all triathlons to receive a special series t-shirt!

June 18: Idlewild Pool and Park - 1805 idlewild Dr - Reno.Gov/ParksandRec
July 15: Carson Aquatic Facility - 841 N. Roop St - Tigersharks.org
August 12: Bowers Mansion - 4005 Bowers Mansion Rd - WashoeCountyParks.com
September 10: Alf Sorensen Pool - 1400 Baring Blvd - SparksRec.com
CHECK-IN: 7:00-10:30am
Check-in opens at 7:00am. Athletes should be checked in for their race 30 minutes before race start. Race briefings will be held 15 minutes before the race start time for each age category. On the day registrations will be accepted up to 45 minutes before each category start time.
START TIMES:
13-18yrs: 8:00am
11-12yrs: 8:45am
9-10yrs: 9:30am
7-8yrs: 10:00am
6 yrs and under: 10:30am
SAFETY AND RACE GEAR:
Participants must provide their own swimsuit, goggles, towels, running shoes, bicycle, and bike helmet. Participants will not be allowed to compete without proper attire or safety equipment. Helmets are required to be worn during the entire biking segment. Only children aged 6 years and younger may have an adult in the water for assistance during the swim segment. All children 7 years and older need to be able to swim across the pool unassisted. Parents/Guardians must be on-site during the entire event.
