Come join in a beginner mini triathlon series at the brand new Fit N Wise facility in Decatur, TX. The entire event is viewable for parents and spectators in a course that avoids all traffic. This is the last event of the 3 part triathlon series. 

 

All athletes that finish their race receive a finisher medal.

 

 

The race is for:

 

4 – 6 years: 25-yard swim, .5-mile bike, .25-mile run- begins at 8:30AM

7 – 10 years: 75-yard swim, 1-mile bike, .5-milerun- begins at 8:00AM

11 – 13 years: 125-yard swim, 1.5-mile bike, .75-mile run- begins at 7:30AM

Event details and schedule

 

Some Important Event Details

 

1.  Race Day Packet Pickup begins at 6:00AM.  Packet pickup will close at 7:00AM 

 

 

2.  Pool- indoor 8 lane 25 yard pool.  Parents will sit in the mezzanine seating located above the pool.  spectator seating will be marked. 

 

     Run- Run is viewable for all spectators in a traffic free zone.

     Bike- Bike is viewable for all spectators in a traffic free zone.

3.  Please follow signs upon arrival to the appropriate race day parking lot.  Race Course will be completely marked off and shut down. 

 

     After appropriate parking please proceed to the appropriate age group check in. Check in will be in front of Fit N Wise.  609 medical center drive building 200

 

4.  Please bring proof of registration on race day

 

 

5.  Gear and clothes to bring and wear-

 

             Swimwear- appropriate swimwear, goggles, swim caps will be provided in packet   and towel to dry off in between transitions.  (Important:  If your swimmer must have assistance with a lifejacket all lifejackets must be Coast Guard Approved.  This will be checked as athletes check in on race day.) 

             Run- appropriate running shoes, shirt and shorts. 

             Bike-  Please bring any bike your athlete may be able to ride, training wheels are acceptable.  (All cyclists must have an approved bicycle helmet.  this will be checked as athletes check in on race day.)

 

6.  Parents and guardians!  You may assist your athletes in the transition area as needed, we want this to be the best possible experience for beginners to participate in their first or second beginner triathlon.
