_ 2017 Johnson County Park and Recreation District Women’s Triathlon and Duathlon:
9th Annual Johnson County Park & Recreation District Women's Triathlon & Duathlon

The Johnson County Park & Recreation District is proud to be the title sponsor of one of the two all-female triathlons and duathlons in the state of Kansas. The Johnson County Park and Recreation District is committed to enhancing the quality of life athletes near and far by providing high-quality parks, services and recreation programs.
This USAT sanctioned event features a Super-Sprint Distance triathlon, a Sprint Distance triathlon and a Duathlon course in Kill Creek Park. All age group athletes participate and compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete's age on December 31st of this year (2017). Individual awards will be presented to the top three female overall finishers in each course. Age group awards will be broken down into five year increments.
Triathlon Course*
The triathlon course is a 500 meter swim, 10.6 mile bike located outside of the park, and 3.1 mile (5K) trail run.
Duathlon Course*
The duathlon is a 3.1 mile (5K) first and second trail run and 10.6 mile bike located outside of the park.
*Participants also have the option to compete in each course as a team, in relay format. Each individual of the team can compete in one or two legs for both the triathlon and duathlon. There is a three member maximum on the team and at least two members are required in order to compete in the team category.
