- The City of Fort Worth is excited to announce Tri Fort Worth, an inaugural event not to be missed! The May 21st, 2017 event will include Full Iron and Half Iron distance races in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, where the West begins. In a community committed to fitness, and a city known for cowboys, culture, and cuisine, this event will redefine your long distance race expectations. Catering to the athlete and spectator experience, we anticipate this race to quickly become the premier North American event for your early season race.
This point to point race begins in Northwest Fort Worth at the beautiful Marine Creek Lake, known to be a favorite among fitness enthusiasts for clean water and spectator friendly trails surrounding the lake. Athletes will then continue on a fast and flat bike course through North Texas countryside. While participants are out on the bike course, friends and family have many activities and attractions available including dining, shopping, museums, movie theaters, the Historic Stockyards, Bass Hall and the Fort Worth Zoo. The bike course concludes in the downtown area at the unforgettable Fort Worth Water Gardens. This architectural and engineering marvel across from the Convention Center will provide a unique urban oasis for athletes as they transition to the run. The spectator friendly run course will take participants through the overwhelmingly supportive community all the way to the finish line. Athletes will be welcomed at the finish line in the heart of Downtown Fort Worth for a celebration they'll never forget. Fort Worth is rated the #1 Downtown in America and the rumors are true, everything is bigger in Texas! Come join Mayor Betsy Price and Tri Fort Worth. We're committed to creating a race experience of a lifetime!
