NAV Texas the race is a fun navigation centered 4 hour short course.Racers will Bike and trek in and around Double Lake area recently expanded to 20 miles of single track these Sam Houston National Forest piney woods make for some great ridding and trekking.Racers can expect to have 12 to 16 points to attack in 4 hours. Special challenges will be a part of this race. There will be no paddling leg.
NAV Texas the Clinic is intended for those wanting to learn how to Navigate or Orienteer during an Adventure Race. The clinic will have two hours of instruction followed by a 2 hour "mock" race all trekking. We will be on hand after the mock race to further instruct and encourage the clinic participants. Attendees will get to enjoy watching and learn from the race participants.
The Clinic or Race are ideal for racers wanting to improve their Navigation skills in preparation for the upcoming Texas Quest or any other of the many great adventure races held in Texas.

From Hwy. 59 in Cleveland, take FM 2025 north 17 mi., turn right at Double Lake.
From I-45, exit at New Waverly, take SH 150 east 25 mi., take FM 2025 S 1/2 mi., turn left at Double Lake.
Double lake is about 60 miles North of Houston.
