This class is limited to 3 participants that want lots of help getting comfortable in the open water so they can race triathlons. USAT coach and author of "Fearless Swimming For Triathletes", Ingrid Loos Miller, will teach students how to prepare their bodies and minds for the rigors of triathlon swimming. Subjects include cold water, deep water, murky water, wetsuit issues, mass start, sighting and navigation, seasickness, mental strategies and most important, how to stay calm.
This is not a swim technique class and there will be NO LIFEGUARD so participants should be competent pool swimmers without dangerous anxiety issues.Class will be mostly lecture followed by some water work. Optional 500 M swim if conditions permit. Wetsuit is mandatory.
