2011 Dakotaman Triathlon:

Sprint Triathlon for individual and teams of 2 or 3 people, male, female or co-ed.

Entry Fees

$35 individual ($45 teams) before 6: AM on June13th;

$45 individual and $55 Team until 6 AM June 18 (Race Day).

On- site registration is $55 for Individual and $65 for Team until 7:30 AM Race Day.

Course Information:

Lake Alvin Recreation Area is a great venue for this 6th Annual Triathlon

Swim:

Swim is out in back in Lake Alvin with rope and buoys in place to separte out and back; inner tubes also in place for safety, along with rescue boats.

Lake is in a bowl and is well protected from wind.

Bike:

Bike route is out and back with some small hills; well-marked route.

Run:

Run is out and back with one long gradual hill going out but return is downhill.

Transistion:

Transistion area is in the parking lot on the north shore of Lake Alvin.

Directions:

Lake Alvin is 9 miles southeast of Sioux Falls or 4 miles east of Harrisburg, SD.

Other Info:

The DAKOTAMAN TRIATHLON is the qualifying race for the Best of the US National Race. the Top 3 South Dakota Winners are eligible to represent South Dakota.

AWARDS
Medals give for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each decade for both male and femal
$ 100 $75 $ 50 for the first three South Dakota finishers both male and female
If any Out- of -State racer finishes in the Overall top three, they will be awarded the same cash prize as a SD racer. All races receive T-Shirts.

CASH AWARDS
Age group winners, male and female, and teams will also receive monetary awards
1st $25; 2nd $ 15; and 3rd $ 10.

All bikers must wear helmets, no head phones on the bike.
