The 1st annual Marquette University Indoor Triathlon takes place on campus and houses the swim, bike, and run starts all within a few blocks. The Human Performance Assessment Core (HPAC) is a new laboratory in Exercise Science. Their goal is to be a community resource for human performance testing including metabolic testing, bone density scans, body composition, strength testing, and more. More information on this department can be accessed via [email protected]. The swim is a 400 yard swim in Marquette's Rec Center. The 10 mile bike is indoors on the HPAC's Computrainers. The run is 3 loops (mostly flat) on MU's 1.00 Marquette Mile. On the run you will get a great tour of Marquette from the Engineering building to GESU to the new law school buidling. The event also includes a tour of the HPAC labs, secure bike storage/corral, and an HPAC giveaway. For those of you who are competitive, this is a USA Triathlon qualifier for Age Group and Collegiate Nationals.  Indoor triathlons are fairly new to the midwest, and we are glad to be putting on this event to give more opportunities to race in the winter months. There will be a participant limit of 80 people, so sign up early! Waves of 10 people will go off approximately every 40 minutes. Wave assignments will be given out the last week of March.

Event details and schedule

The details for indoor triathlon will be updated soon!

Race director Mark Caballero works at Marquette University and has partnered with his colleagues to put on an indoor triathlon, presented by the new Human Performance Assessment Core. (insert link here). A huge benefit is that the swim (pool), bike (inside the labs) and run (outside) starts are all within 2 blocks!

This event is USAT sanctioned! It's a qualifier for both USAT Collegiate and Age Group Nationals. So dust off the racing flats and get ready for this sprint race.
