- The University of Akron Sprint Triathlon is a great way to kick off your Triathlon race season. Every athlete gets their own 9-foot lane in the spacious Ocasek Natatorium pool. Athletes are steps away from their bike when they exit the pool & will complete a 12-mile bike ride with competitors spaced out along our 17-lanes of deck space. The run course takes athletes on a 2-loop course outdoors through the UA campus, with a finish line, timing clock, & plenty of music to keep you motivated!
Register early for guaranteed placement in the starting heat of your choice. Race heats will start at 7am & go off at the top of each hour until we run out of competitors!

500 yard indoor pool swim (each athlete gets their own swimming lane)
12-mile indoor bike
3.1 mile outdoor run (2-loop course)
