The AIM HIGH scholarship is in honor of Aimee Jo Girard & will be awarded to 1 Timber Creek graduate with a commitment to nursing and 1 Timber Creek graduate attending a 2 year or 4 year school. Aimee was an active member of the Timber Creek High School community: she was captain of the Varsity Tennis Team, an officer of Student Council & the Class of 2007. She was crowned homecoming queen the fall of her senior year.
Aimee’s good nature & passion for helping others led her to Thomas Jefferson University where she pursued a degree in nursing. Despite suffering a stroke her senior year, Aimee was determined to not only make a full recovery, but to complete her bachelor’s degree on time. In true Aimee fashion, she accomplished both goals! Aimee then began her career as a registered nurse at Jefferson Hospital. She was adored by coworkers & patients alike for her compassion & positive outlook. Her motto was "Sometimes you just need to shift your perspective."
On August 10, 2014, Aimee Jo Girard’s life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of domestic violence. Aimee’s desire to help was contagious, & her innate ability to find a silver lining was inspiring. Her family and friends hope to shine some light by giving back to the community & we want you to be a part of it! Aimee’s spirit of giving back inspired them to start a scholarship in her honor. Join us to raise funds for this great cause!
