Your ride is fully supported with well-stocked rest stops providing, water, fruit & snacks to keep you fueled. Over 40 Certified Emergency Response Team volunteers will provide SAG vehicles and radio communication to monitor the routes and ensure you'll have a safe and enjoyable ride. Tour will feature bike mechanics, medical support in addition to the support of the Community Emergency Response Team volunteers. Tour de Cure is well known for its safety and amazing support along the route for our participants, thanks in huge part to our volunteer staff! Our volunteers want our riders to know they are there and will encourage you to keep on riding! One of Wichita's newest bike shops and owner-Lee's Bike Shop will sponsor a SAG stop at 135th and Maple as well! When you cross the finish line in Sedgwick County Park, enjoy the Post-Ride Celebration featuring great food from our Presenting Lunch Sponsor-Carlos O' Kelly's, massages by Serenity Mind Body Spa, kid's activities, our health & wellness festival, and music entertainment throughout the afternoon. Take the time to celebrate your accomplishments, meet other riders & red riders who share your passion, and let us thank you with a few hours of relaxation and fun.
Course Information:
The Sedgwick County Tour de Cure offers cyclists of all ages and abilities an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Sedgwick County. There's something for everyone from a leisurely short distance to a more challenging length. Either way, Tour de Cure is a ride, not a race, so take it at your own speed and enjoy the journey. Our 5 mile Family Fun Ride travels a closed-course route through Sedgwick County Park. Cyclists will begin and end at the playground area and enjoy views of the lake and nature areas within the park. For cyclists desiring a greater challenge, Tour de Cure offers a 25 mile ride, 35 mile ride, and a 60 mile ride. Participants will enjoy the scenery of Sedgwick County and the splendors of spring throughout the ride. The route features level roads and cycling friendly areas of Bentley, Mt. Hope, Andale, St Marks, and Colwich.
