_ 2017 Mustang Mudder:

The Mustang Mudder 5K, presented by Madison Academy in partnership with ABF, is the first family friendly Mud Run with obstacles offered in North Alabama. The 5K (3.1 miles) obstacle course situated on the beautiful campus of Madison Academy in Madison, Alabama will challenge participants with 10-15 obstacles along and through Indian Creek and the adjacent wooded areas on campus. This family-friendly fun mud run is open to anyone over the age of 12. Runners can expect to slip, slide, climb, jump, slog and swing their way to a fun finish where food, refreshments and music are waiting.

We will be running multiple heats including one for elite racers and an open heat for racers ages 12 and up. We will have a race clock, but runners will be responsible for their own time tracking. The object is to have fun and complete the run, not to finish first.

Off-site parking will be available with shuttle service at designated sites; shuttle will run every 15 minutes.

Course Obstacles

1.  Starting Wall (2) height variations.  8’ and 6’ in height with a step roughly 2’ up on the wall.

2.  Junior Ramp Walls- 2, 6’

3.  Water Bucket Carry- Runners will have to fill up a 5 gallon bucket and carry around a specified area. 

4.  Low Crawl- Runners will have to crawl under rope thru a muddy section of the course. 

5.  Tire Drag Obstacle

6.  Inverted Walls. 6’ & 8’,  One will have no steps and other will have a step.

7. Telephone Pole Hurdles. (2) 4’

8.  Low Crawl- Runners will have to crawl under rope thru a muddy section of the course. 

9. Rope Climb Walls- (2) 6’

10.  Finish Line Obstacle:  Jarhead’s Playground.  The more difficult lane will have 12’ rope, 9’ monkey bars, 12’ sky ladder, 12’ cargo net, and ring sliders.  The less difficult lane will have 8’ rope, 6’ monkey bars, 8’ sky ladder, 8’ cargo net.
