2011 Summer Sprint Triathlon:

  • The innaugural triathlon staged out of the state of the art Christiansburg Aquatic Center is sure to bring smiles to the faces of triathletes throughout southwest Virginia.
  • Located in the picturesque town of Christiansburg this event features a 400 meter snake swim followed by a rolling 12 mile ride through Christiansburg and the surrounding countryside. Once athletes are done with the bike they will do a 5K run that loops through neighborhoods adjacent to the aquatic center.
  • The VTS is proud to have brought a new pool swim triathlon to this part of the state.
