The swim will be a 500-meter loop starting and finishing from the beach at Halfmoon Park. Participants will start in four waves and swim in a counterclockwise direction around clearly marked buoys. Wetsuites are will be allowed. See the Race Map for the exact route.

The bike course is out and back with an approximate distance of 17 miles. No MP3s allowed while biking. See the Race Map for details.

The run course is a 5K (3.1 mile) loop through scenic Carson Park. An aid station will be located at the top of the Carson Park Drive hill. Runners will pass this station at mile markers 1 and 2. The finish line will be located on Randall Drive, just south of the transition area. MP3s are allowed while running. See the Race Map for the exact route.

The Eau Claire Triathlon will be held at Halfmoon Park.

Parking is available for participants on a first come first serve basis in Mayo Clinic Health System Lots 14 and 15. If you wish to park in these lots, you must arrive before 7:30 AM. No cars will be allowed to enter or leave these lots between 7:45 AM and 10:00 AM. All cars must enter through the Cameron Street entrance to Lot 15 (no entry will be allowed via Whipple Street). Volunteers will be present to help coordinate the process.

On June 4, 2017 Eau Claire will host its eigth annual sprint distance triathlon. Over the past six years, beginners and veteran triathletes alike have used our race as a great way to get their summers started with a bang! Competitors have the opportunity to compete individually or as part of a team. The race course includes a swim in Halfmoon Lake, a bike ride through the rolling hills of western Wisconsin countryside, and a run through historic Carson Park. Sign up early, limited entries are available!
