_ 2017 Quantico Tri:
- Hosted at Officers Candidate School aboard the Marine Corps Base, the Quantico Tri is sure to bring fast times and fun to all who participate. Located on the famed training grounds for all future Marine officers, this event features an open water swim in the Potomac River followed by a swift 12.4 mile bike ride. Once athletes are finished with the bike course, they will run a scenic 5K (3.1 mile) run.
All athletes will receive a technical tshirt, athlete number tattoo, timing chip and strap. Finishers earn a medal. Timing chip must be returned at completion of the event.
Directions:
From North: Take I95 South toward Richmond and take Exit 148. Proceed toward Marine Corps Base Quantico "Mainside." Drive through the gate and be prepared to show ID. Continue straight on Russell Road for approximately two miles. At the T-intersection, turn right and proceed toward Officer Candidates School.
From South: I95 North toward Washington DC and take Exit 148. Proceed toward Marine Corps Base Quantico "Mainside." Drive through the gate and be prepared to show ID. Continue straight on Russell Road for approximately two miles. At the T-intersection, turn right and proceed toward Officer Candidates School.
