_ 2017 Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon - Olympic/Sprint:
The 11th Annual Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon is original Bear Lake Triathlon. This race has the bluest water in Utah with a great course. This race is set up during a time of the year the lake is less traveled during late summer and early fall providing roads with extra safety for the participants.
Course Information:
Sprint Course
Swim 750 Meters in a counter clockwise wave start around 3 buoys in a triangle pattern. The water is fairly swallow so swimmers start in the water around 100 yards from the shore.
Bike 12.4 Miles on the East side of the lake. This is an out and back course and much of the bike course has a bike lane.
Run 3.1 Miles inside Bear Lake State Park. This out and back course is fun and flat and provides runners a small portion of trail running.
Olympic Course
Swim 1500 Meters in a counter clockwise wave start around 3 buoys in a triangle pattern. In order to do 1500 Meters this course must be done twice or two laps. The water is fairly swallow so swimmers start in the water around 100 yards from the shore.
Bike 24.8 Miles on the East side of the lake. This is an out and back course and much of the bike course has a bike lane.
Run 6.2 Miles inside Bear Lake State Park. This out and back course is fun and flat and provides runners a small portion of trail running.
Directions:
From Logan Utah
Take Logan Canyon East until you hit Bear Lake. At the lake go South or right to the Southern part of the lake and Rendezvous Beach State Park.
From Evanston Utah
Take Hwy 16 North to Hwy 30 West to Bear Lake. As soon as you come out of the canyon you will see Bear Lake. Continue west to Rendezvous Beach - Bear Lake State Park.
