- Mighty Kids Triathlon is a youth event for ages 3-14. The age groups are 3-4; 5-6;7-8; 9-11; 12-14. The distances are as follows:
3-4 yr olds-- 25yd swim/200m bike/100m run; 5-6yr olds-- 50yd/1mile/1k; 7-8 yr olds-- 75yd/2mile/1k; 9-11 yr olds--100yd/3mile/1.5k; 12-14 yr olds-- 200yd/4mile/2k.
The race is chip timed and USAT sanctioned. We strive for a competitive yet positve and fun race for our young athletes. Volunteers are there for assistance along every part of the race. All finishers receive a medal and trophies are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female in each age group. Prizes are also given to the fastest swimmer, biker, and runner in each age group, as well as door prizes. We have a great after party with smoothies, chocolate milk, lemonade, fruit, pasta, hot dogs and hamburgers, and cookies.
Course Information:
- The swim takes place in an indoor pool. This is an out and back course for the bike and run. The 3-4 yr olds stay on site and do not enter the road. Course map is available on our website, mightykidstriathlon.org. Police officers support each intersection as well as volunteers. The bike lane will coned off to traffic.
