_ 2017 ET Lake Zurich Triathlon:
The area's premier USAT sanctioned Olympic distance triathlon will continue its' tradition in Lake Zurich with the ET Lake Zurich Triathlon Sprint and Olympic event. The event has grown to over 500 participants and is one of the area's top Olympic distance events. A single loop counter clockwise swim in Lake Zurich. A rolling bike course that is closed to traffic for over 80% of the course, and a scenic run around Lake Zurich and great for spectators is primarily flat and fast.
Course Information:
Swim
The swim will be a 1/4 mile and 1.5k single loop and counter-clockwise swim in Lake Zurich. The swim will begin and end at the beach of Paulus Park. Following the swim, participants will have a decent run from the water to the transition area at the park.
Bike
The 12.4 Mile and 40k bike is a rolling course that will travel through Lake Zurich and surrounding communities.
Run
The scenic 5k and 10k run will be a two loop course around the lake. At the midway point of the run, participants will pass through the park and the heart of all race activity, before starting out on their second loop.
