In the middle of August each year, more than 1,200 women participate in a race dedicated to celebrating the strength of all women: Annual YWCA Minneapolis Women's Triathlon. More than 3,500 spectators witness the race, and more than 300 volunteers make sure that all aspects run smoothly.
Course Information:
The YWCA Minneapolis Women’s Triathlon is a challenging 500-yard swim, 15.5-mile bike ride, 5K run, set on a course that shows off the beauty of Minneapolis’ lakes, parkways and river road. A SuperSprint option (200-yard swim, seven-mile bike, one-mile run) is also available. The race venue is set at Lake Nokomis is a popular summer destination and convenient central location.
