The 2017 ​LEGEND TRIATHLON - AD ASTRA​ is being held on September 10th at Bloomington Beach-Clinton Lake in Lawrence, Kansas. The 3 distances will cover some of the most beautiful and challenging terrain that the Midwest has to offer!

● Awards will be presented to the Top Overall Male & Top Overall Female Champions in all races
● Awards will be presented to the Top Three males and Top Three Females in each age group in all races.

RACE CATEGORIES
Male & Female Age Groups: 5-Year Increments: 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+
Clydesdale 39 & Under (Males 220+ lbs.)
Clydesdale 40 & Over (Males 220+ lbs.)
Athena 39 & Under (Females 165+ lbs.)
Athena 40 & Over (Females 165+ lbs.)

*Specific Race Director permission is required for all entrants under 15 years old. (Only allowed in the SPRINT Race)

Course Information:


COURSE INFO:

SWIM: Athletes will enter from the Beach and will follow a counter-clockwise pattern for the swim course keeping the buoys on their left. All courses will complete ONE lap of each respective course.

BIKE: Athletes will be challenged by the rolling terrain of Southwestern Douglas County. Aid stations will be set approximately 10 miles apart. Athletes can expect beautiful countryside views and a tailwind on their way back into transition.

RUN: Athletes will run counter-clockwise around the campgrounds of Bloomington Beach. Aid stations will be located every mile. The run course is moderately flat with some slight climbs giving beautiful views of Clinton Lake.
