Come enjoy the beautiful setting of Welaka State Forest for this unique triathalon hosted by Putnam Blueways & Trails, CSO. The Ky-Hike-A-Bike is either a single person or a team medley relay adventure challenge, incorporating three separate and distinct disciplines of outdoor fun and recreation. Start with kayaking 5K, then running 5K and finish with a 10K off road bicycle ride. You must have your own bicycle but we can provide a kayak if you don't have one for an additional cost. The finish line is at Mud Spring, a misnomer - it's very clean - where you can jump in to cool off. It is a fully supported race with transportation where needed. You may enter as a single or as a team, however each person racing is a separate entry with a registration fee of $40 that includes support, snacks, an event shirt and awards.
- The race starts with kayaking approximately 5K on the St. John's River from the Welaka Public Dock to John's Landing. The second leg is running from John's Landing to Mud Spring, approximately 5K. The final leg is about a 10K loop off-road bicycling through the western section of the forest back to Mud Spring, where you will be able to cool off.
1 mile south of Welaka
