Join us for the fifth Rec Deeds TriChallenge Sprint Triathlon at Fort Smallwood Park!  After a hiatus due to construction in the park we are finally back this year and better than ever!

The race consists of a .25 mile swim in the Patapsco River, a 12.5 mile bike through scenic Pasadena and a 3.1 mile run through the park and surrounding community.

Packet pick up and Transition area set up will begin at 6:00am at Fort Smallwood Park.  The race will start at 7:30am.

Details:

Please plan to arrive at the park between 6 and 7am to check in, rack your bike and set up your transition area.  Bike racking will be first come, first served.

We will provide mandatory swim caps based on swim wave (men, women, relay team).

Courses:

Swim Course: The swim will take place off out of the canoe/kayak launch beach area.

Bike Course:  Turn right out of the bike exit of the transition area and make an immediate left onto the main park access road.  Exit the park bearing right at the circle onto Fort Smallwood Road.  Follow the right hand shoulder of Fort Smallwood Road southbound to Hog Neck Road.  Turn around under police control and head north in the northbound shoulder of Fort Smallwood Road to Braid Hills Road.  Turn right onto Braid Hills Road and follow to the end of the culdesac, turn around here.  Turn right beck onto Fort Smallwood Road. Turn right onto BaysideBeach and follow to left on Paradise Beach Road.  Turn left on Old Hickory Road and left on Bush Avenue. Turn left on Rolling Meadow Run and left on Fox Hollow Run. Turn right back onto Fort Smallwood Road and follow back to the park.  Stay on the main park access road and end at the transition area.

Run Course:  Turn right out of the run exit of the transition area onto Bay Front Drive.  Follow around FortSmallwoodPark and out through the gate to the circle.  Bear right at the circle onto Fort Smallwood Road.  Follow the right hand shoulder of Fort Smallwood Road southbound out of the park.  Turn right onto Fairview Beach Road.  Turnaround on Fairview Beach Road and follow the same course (staying on the northbound or left shoulder of Fort Smallwood Road) back to the finish area just outside of the Transition area.

There will be volunteers at the park to help you find parking and to direct you to the packet pick up and transition areas.
