Come to Barnesville, GA for one of the oldest 10K races (and lowest race entry fee) in the state - The 39th Annual Barnesville Buggython 5K / 10K / 2 mile Road Races.  The event is hosted by the Lamar County High School and is sponsored by the Barnesville business community.  For additional information, please contact Mike Oberg at (770) 358-8641.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup:  Starts at 7:00AM in the Gordon College Athletic Parking Lot.

All Races Start Times: ALL RACES START AT 8AM ACROSS THE STREET FROM REGISTRATION, ABOUT A QUARTER MILE WALK.  BE SURE YOU GET TO REGISTRATION EARLY. 

Awards:  5K awards will begin shortly after the last 5K person finishes.  10K awards will begin after the last 10k person finishes.  Awards will be presented in 5K/10K to M/F Overall. Then Masters M/F, and top three M/F in age groups beginning 10 and under through 75 and over.  The 2 Mile walk will not be timed and no awards given.

USATF Certified and Peachtree Qualifier:

Both the 5K and 10K are USATF Certifed and can be used as a Peachtree Quailifer.  Several Georgia State Records have been set on the 10K course.  5K Certification #GA07016WC and 10K Certification #GA07015WC. 

Series Affiliation:

The races are part of the 2016 Black Bag Race Series and the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix.

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
