The David R Kingsley Sprint Triathlon is a very special event not only where we have it at beautiful Lake of the Woods Resort, not only that we mix it up a bit with a swim - run - bike, but we get to donate to a very worthy cause helping military families in need and all the funds stay locally to help our military families in our community. We finish off the day with a BBQ, live band and a fun awards ceremony sure to be a good time for everyone.
Event details and schedule
The swim is a 550 yard swim on open water, fresh water spring fed lake, The run 3 miles, is through the woods mostly on dirt path, some pavement is involved, The bike, 10 miles all on pavement around the rim of the lake. We have added additional individual challenges, do one or do them all: 1.8 open water swim, olympic thriathlon and duathlon challenge along with a 1/2 marathon on Sunday.
