See how fast you can rock the clock at the Kickstand Classic bike challenge on Sunday, Sept. 25. It’s a new bike race for people of all skill levels, riding any kind of bike.
Ride 10, 14.5 or 19 miles.
No spandex required! Racers are electronically timed and grouped with people of similar abilities on a car-free course in beautiful Northwest Suburban Bartlett. Everyone is welcome!
Start and end your ride in the heart of Bartlett, on historic Main Street. You will ride two, three or four laps (you choose) around the 4.8 miles race loop where you’ll pass peaceful residential neighborhoods and great parks on safe car free roads. Ride as fast as you can, or choose a calmer pace. A rest and water stop is available at Leiseburg Park on the north side of the route.
Your timing chip will record your individual start and finish times, as well as your lap pace.
Ride confidently no matter your skill level. Our slow release start line will allow riders of all experience levels to take off comfortably without getting caught in a pack, and once you start you’ll enjoy a roadway clear of all car traffic.
In the beautiful northwest suburban Bartlett, which is 30 miles or less from both the north and west sides of Chicago and not much further from the south.
By Transit
To get to the Village Hall in Bartlett, you can hop on the Metra Milwaukee District / West Line (MD-W) and get off at the Bartlett stop. Please note that the Metra schedule is limited on Sundays.
By Car
>> Carpooling: Combine your trips to cut down on traffic and expenses.
>> From Chicago (East)
Take I-290 West to Hanover Park, then follow US-20 West Lake St & North Avenue to South Main Street in Bartlett.
>> From Volo (North)
Follow South Illinois Route 59 to West Bartlett Road, then continue on West Bartlett Road to South Main Street.
>>From Rockford (West)
Take US-20 from IL-2 South Main Street, then take I-90 East to South Illinois Routh 59 South (Hoffman Estates).
Then take the Illinois 59 exit from I-90 East from here, drive to South Main Street in Bartlett.
>> From Naperville (South)
Take Rickert Drive to West Ogden Ave then continue on Raymond Drive to South Illinois Route 59 North.
From there, continue on to West Bartlett Road and drive to South Main Street.
