_ 2017 Half Pint Kids' Triathlon:
Calling all aspiring triathletes, ages 8 to 12! You can swim, bike and run your way to the finish at the annual Half-Pint Triathlon at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road.
Calling all aspiring triathletes, ages 8 to 12! You can swim, bike and run your way to the finish at the annual Half-Pint Triathlon at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road.
Course Information:
Athletes will be divided into two ages groups: Joniors, ages 8-9, and Seniors, ages 10-12 (age as of 5/21/16).
Juniors will swim 50 meters in the pool, bike 1.5 miles and run 0.5 miles.
Seniors will swim 100 meters, bike 3 miles and run 1 mile.
Each child will receive an official triathlon medal and t-shirt. Children must be accompanied by parents, and all racers are required to wear appropriate swim wear in the pool and shoes while biking and running. Each child should bring a bicycle and a helmet to the event.
