Arrrgggggg Maties!!! The Blackbeard Adventure Race in the Outer Banks, NC, will be offered as both a 5-hour and an 8-hour race in scenic Outer Banks (OBX), North Carolina. This exhilarating race includes biking (mountain or hybrid), trail running, kayaking, coasteering, orienteering, and a secrect treasure map challenge. Competitors will travel over 25 combined miles between all disciplines for the 5 hour race and over 50 miles for the 8 hour race.

5HR: Solo, 2P team, 3P team, 4P team
8HR: Solo, 2P team, 3P team, 4P team
Provided: Kayaks, paddles, PFDs, topographical map, race passport, clue sheet, race t-shirt & post race grub.
You MUST REGISTER before October 10th in order to receive a shirt & Finishers Medal.
Mandatory Gear: hybrid or mountain bike, bike helmet, enough food, water for the entire race, fully charged cell phone in a waterproof case.
Recommended Gear: rain jacket,first aide kit, compass, sunglasses, sunscreen, small knife, REALLY AWESOME PIRATE COSTUMES!I

Race Check-in: Friday evening between 7:PM & 9:PM or Saturday morning at 7:AM.
START Time: Approximately 8:AM Determined by tidal flow.
Course Closes: 5:PM
Awards following the completion of both the 5HR & 8HR races.
