- Come run where the Dinosaurs roamed! Come explore their tracks at night, but don't let them catch you. Choose from a 5k or 15k trail run and bring a headlamp or flashlight, because you will be running after sunset following a course of reflective ribbon and glow necklaces to help find your way! Pictures below is the start of the run, crossing the river, just after sunset.
The 5k will follow a trail near the river, while the 15k will explore the single track trails throughout the state park and along the river. The trails can be rocky and technical in spots, so bring your sense of adventure.
Course Information:
Dinosaur Valley State Park - Long ago, dinosaurs left footprints in the mud at the edge of an ancient ocean.This long trip to the past is just a short drive from Fort Worth in Glen Rose. Come out and find dinosaur tracks, camp, picnic, hike, mountain bike, swim and fish in the river, watch for wildlife, look for a geocache, ride your horse, or visit the interpretive center.
Directions:
The park is located four miles west of Glen Rose. Take U.S. Highway 67 to FM 205 for four miles to Park Road 59; then go one mile to the headquarters. Use the honor box located at headquarters to pay fees after office hours.

- July 16th, Saturday, 8:30 pm (pre-race meeting)
- July 16th, Saturday, 8:45 pm (both 5K and 15k start)
- Sunset is at 8:38 pm. It will get dark while you are running so be prepared with headlamp.
