This is the third annual Big Swell Open Water Swim Race and Outdoor Expo taking place at Devil's Lake State Park. We are excited to offer a 1.2 and 2.4 mi wetsuit and non-wetsuit division as well as a 500m youth (age 10-16 yrs) race.
Capable Middle and High School swimmers are allowed, and encouraged, to try the 1.2 mile event, with parental consent.

Course Description
The adult race a 1.2 and 2.4 mile course is well marked with large orange buoys, patrolled by lifeguards and volunteers in a variety of watercraft. The average water temperature for Devil's lake in July is 69 degrees F. All swimmers will start in the water and finish on the beach utilizing electronic timing chips.
