Wings for Life World Run : |
Adventure Race : Urban Adventure Race |
Returning to South Florida’s Sunrise community for its third consecutive year, the Wings for Life World is an innovative race with a “moving finish line” where participants have to stay ahead of the catcher cars that will be pursuing them through a scenic Sunrise course. Since the race has no finish line, participants can run their own race, training and running to their ability as their fitness progresses
The Wings for Life World Run in Sunrise is one of the three North American locations that will be part of 35 worldwide simultaneous races.
Running For Those Who Can't
The Wings for Life World Run was introduced to support the not-for-profit Wings for Life foundation, which funds spinal cord research projects all over the world. 100% of the registration fees and sponsorship dollars from the World Run go directly to the Wings for Life Foundation to fund research to cure spinal cord injury. Millions of people around the world are living with a spinal cord injury. Every year, at least 250,000 more sustain a traumatic spinal cord injury, with the majority coming from traffic accidents, tragic falls and slips.
