_ 2016 Storm Lake Sprint Triathlon:
The 5th annual HyNoon Kiwanis Storm the Lake Sprint Triathlon is a charity event for Kiwanis International to Eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus. Join other athletes at beautiful King's Pointe Waterpark and Resort. Swim in the protected bay, bike around the lake and run along the lake finishing along the flower lined path. All transition areas are at the waterpark. It is considered one of the most beautiful venues for a triathlon.
Course Information:
The swim is a 1/2 mile (800 m) loop in the bay at the beach of the waterpark, from there you jump on your bike and ride east along the lake on some very gentle hills, turn back along the west end of the lake for 12 miles with yellow vested Kiwanians directing you all the way. Return to the transition area and begin your 5K run east along the lake, make a turn and return to the finishing chute.

Storm Lake, IA is located on Highway 71, 70 miles east of Sioux City, IA; 120 miles northeast of Omaha, NE; 130 miles southeast of Sioux Falls, SD; 157 miles northwest of Des Moines, IA and 237 miles southwest of Minneapolis. King's Pointe is on the east side of the lake on business highway 71.
