This is a road race to help raise money to build a playground at Katie's Educational Center. 

It is a easy course around downtown Poultney. The race should be a fun event on Mothers day, so bring the children! Strollers, and pets are welcome to join in.

I want to thank everyone who has helped Katie’s Center raise money for a playground. As we know, children need a large outdoor space to run, and jump, climb on and over things to enrich their mind and bodies and this is what I want to give the children at Katie’s Center.

Last year we kick started our fundraising with a Mother’s Day 5K, let’s see if we can reach our goal this year! We still have a ways to go but I’d love to break ground when the ground thaws. We need your help!

When: May 8^th

            Registration: race day begins at 8:00 am

            Kids Fun Run: 9:00 (race day only)

            5k walk/run begin at 9:30

Cost: Kids Fun Run: $5

            5k: $20

There will be registration on active.com (link to soon follow). We plan on having some post-race goodies as well as some great raffle items!

This year there will be a few different things.

Hopefully like last year the course will be partially on the trails of Green Mountain College.

Childcare will be available on site but remember there also is a Stroller Division!

So mark May 8^th on your calendars and plan on coming down to Katie’s Educational Center for a great time. Bring the family, young and old, pets on a leash, strollers, everyone and anyone!

If you do not feel like participating in the race/walk volunteers are always needed, there is a job for everyone.
