2016 Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA Hoot Lake Triathlon:

The 24th Annual Hoot Lake Triathlon is held at Hoot Lake in the beautiful lakes country of Minnesota.  The course consists of a 1/4 mile open water swim in Hoot Lake; a 15.7 mile bike ride, all right turns, limited traffic control, bike helmets are required and drafting is prohibited; and a 3.3 mile run.

All participants will receive a race t-shirt.  Prizes will be given out and one lucky participant attending the awards ceremony will win a road bike valued at over $1,000 courtesy of Central Lakes Cycle.
Awards - Top male and female will receive a 1st place overall trophy.  Awards for the first three places for males and females in each one of the following age groups:
19 and under
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 and over
Awards will also be given to top three places for each relay division.

All participants will be marked with race numbers.  Swimmers must wear swim caps (provided by YMCA).  Wet suits are allowed.  Bikers must wear ANSI approved helmets (no drafting on bike course).  Life jackets can be worn in the last heat but it disqualifies you from winning.

The Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA directs this event and Mtec Results will provide the timing and results.

Race is part of the Fergus Falls Area Race Series. By entering our race, you are also entered into the series at no charge.

6:30-7:30 AM = Check in and packet pick-up at Hoot Lake Public Access.  All participants must be marked and attend pre-race meeting at 7:45 AM.

8:00 AM = Race Start

Awards = Following last finisher.  Results will be posted on www.fergusfallsymca.org
