United Way of McPherson County Triathlon : |
Triathlon : Swim 200 Yards, Bike 6 Miles, Run 2 Miles |
All proceeds from Triathlon 2016 will benefit United Way of McPherson County, an agency striving to address human service issues related to EDUCATION, HEALTH and INCOME. Triathlon 2016 is ideal for the novice athlete or for the experienced athlete searching for competitive training opportunities. Either way, it supports a great cause!
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 20. Check in (including packet pick-up) will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the McPherson Water Park, 511 N. Lakeside Drive. The event will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Please make arrangements to park your vehicle at Washington Elementary School, 128 N. Park Avenue, or McPherson High School, 801 E. First Street. Parking WILL NOT be allowed along Simpson Street. Participants will be staged in heats based on their 200-meter swim time. The bike ride and run are on live city streets with protected intersections. Please review and adhere to the following regulations:
1) Bikers must wear an approved helmet during the bike portion of the event.
2) No headphones will be permitted during the race.
3) Bikes must have working brakes. FREE bike checks by Bikes & More will be provided.
4) No drafting will be permitted during the bike portion of the event.
