Now in its fourth year, the Public Service 5K Run/Walk is an integral part of PSRW, giving public employees in the DC Metropolitan area a visible reminder they are valued and offering friends, family, and the broader community the opportunity to come together to thank and show their support for our country’s civil servants.

The race takes place on a closed course in Anacostia Park in Southeast DC.  The venue includes opportunities for upper tier sponsors to exhibit and share information with participants and spectators.  From just under 400 participants and volunteers in its inaugural year, to an expected attendance of over 600 runners, walkers, volunteers, and spectators this year, the PS5K continues to grow, attracting public employees and their friends and family, as well as dedicated members of the local running community.

Race proceeds benefit the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA), the only Feds Helping Feds charity, assisting federal employees when personal or natural disasters strike, and helping make college more affordable for federal families.

Sponsors of the Public Service 5K share a desire to thank public employees for the extraordinary work they do every day. Public employees value this highly visible show of support and join with us in thanking all the PS5K Sponsors. Thank you to BlueCross BlueShield, Long Term Care Partners, and GEBA for being 2016 race sponsors.
