Held at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, consider a timed USATF Certifie 5K race or a lesiurely 2-mile family-friendly dog walk, with or without your pup. This event will help change the lives of veterans of all eras and first responders with disabilities. America's VetDogs trains guide and service dogs to provide independence, enhanced mobility, and companionship. It costs over $50,000 to breed, raise, train and place one assistance dog, but America's VetDogs provides its services completely FREE of charge.
The 5K Run and Dog Walk will take place within the recreated mid-19th century American Village know as Old Bethpage Village Restoration. The 209 acre village includes an assortment of historic homes, farms and businesses. Be sure to visit The Museum of American Armor, also located on the grounds of OBVR on race day.
From the East: Take Northern State parkway to Exit 39/Round Swamp Road/Farmindale. Turn left onto Round Swamp Road. Destination will be on your left.
From the West: Take I-495 (Long Island Expressway) east. Take Exit 48 towards Round Swamp/Old Bethpage. Merge onto South Service Road. Turn right onto Old Country Road/Round Swamp Road, turn left onto Round Swamp Road. Destination will be on the left.
