About this Event Half Marathon, 10k, and Cycling tour. The Gainesville Running and Cycling Event will be located at the Boulware City park that connects to the Hawthorne Trail. The running event includes an Half Marathon and 10k on the beautiful Hawthorne Trail. Included in this event are the following: USATF certified course (code: FL11089EBB) Rest Stops every 2 miles (Includes water and food) Pre-race continental breakfast 3 " Fancy Medal with a beautiful ribbon (For all Finishers) Awards for overall male and female and age groups depending on the field (has to be 3 in the age group) Race results posted to phone Post Race food (Fruit, sandwiches,drinks) Cycling The cycling events will also start at the same location as the running events. The cycling tour and race will leave from a different direction. The family cycling is tailored made for families that want to ride together on a route that is not difficult to handle. Family Cycling 13 mile ride through the Hawthorne Trail starting at Boulware City Park. Rest stop with food and drinks. Fully Supported ride. A finishers certificate for each rider. Cycling Tour 45-50 miles of beautiful country side. Rest stops with great food and drinks Fully supported ride throughout the route. Ride with GPS turn by turn voice activated for easy to use directions. Fancy dri-fit shirt. The rider must obey the rules of the road and wear a helmet. Cycling Race Each rider must carry a smart phone and be registered(its free) with the event route on Ride with GPS. The race will include all of the amenities for the cycling tour. Prizes will be given to the top 3 riders with their submitted times. The rider must obey the rules of the road and wear a helmet. Dri-fit shirt Awards for overall male and female and top three teams. Duathlon Run 3.1Miles-Cycle 12 miles-Run 1.5 Miles Same rules and amenities as the cycling race This event stays on the Hawthorne Trail Not a sanctioned event Shirts will not be guaranteed after April 10th registration.There will be no refunds.You can transfer to another race that we have listed.
