World's Tougest 10K Run : |

Take the challenge and get ready to climb! Race begins West of Sandia Resort & Casino, approximately 5100 feet elevation and travels East up Tramway Blvd. with amazing views of the sun shining over the Sandia Mountains. Climbing the entire route, this tough 10k finishes at the base of the Sandia Peak Tram, with the last mile being the steepest with a 400 ft climb to the finish line at 6500 feet elevation.

Registration Fees
Register early to save money and secure your spot! Through April 30, fees are $35 ($32 for O2 Fitness Members, our fine military and Albuquerque Road Runner club members). May 1 until May 21 entry increases by $5.
Race day registration will take place near parking lot C of Sandia Resort & Casino. Cost will be $45 cash/check ONLY. Race day registration will stop promptly at 6:45 a.m.
Packet Pick-up and Late Registration
Packet pick-up and late registration will be at O2 Fitness Studio on Friday, May 20 from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 21 from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.. O2 Fitness Studio is located at 1761 Bellamah Ave. NW, Suite A, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87104.
Course
Race begins West of I-25 on Roy Rd., approximately 5100 feet elevation and travels East under I-25 and up Tramway Blvd. Climbing the entire route, this tough 10k turnes left at the 3-way stop at County Line Restaurant and finishes at the base of the Sandia Peak Tram in the parking lot. The last mile being the steepest with a 400 ft climb to the finish line at 6500 feet elevation.
Hydration/Aid Stations
There will be 3 hydration stations along the course at miles 2, 4, and 5. Water and Gatorade will be provided. There will be a paramedic/rescue unit along the course.
Awards
All finishers will receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze finisher's award. Additional awards will go to the overall male and female finishers and 1st place in 10-year age groups.
Timing
This race will be chip timed by Chasing 3

The race will begin promptly at 7 a.m. on the West side of I-25. Please park at Sandia Resort and Casino in parking lots C and D. Once you are finished, shuttles will be transporting all finishers back to the start line. Beneficiary
Join Emma’s Army and participate in the World’s Toughest 10K. A percentage of each race entry will go directly to 4-year old Emma Davis who is currently fighting her battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. If this little princess can take on the weekly treatments of chemotherapy, bone marrow infusions and side effects from all her medical treatments, you can take on this tough 10K!
