A well managed, difficult, sprint triathlon in a beautiful setting in the western foot hills of southern Maine. The race is limited to 150 bib numbers. and includes first, second, and third placeawards for age group, individual competitors and three relay catagories (Coed, All Men, All women). The principle race sponsor is New Balance.
Course Information:
The event includes a full, 1 kilometer lake swim in a triangular course, to and from, the Pennessewasse Lake Park Beach. There is a short jog to the transistion area within the park. The bike course is 15 kilometers over relativeley flat, paved, country roads. The 5 kilometer run starts on a local paved road, but most of the run is over well groomed trails through a beautiful park over looking the lake.
Directions:
Take the Gray exit off interstate 95. Take route 26 north to Norway, In Norway turn left onto route 117, Main Street, and merge onto route 118 and look for Pannessewassee lake Park entrance on the right.
