2016 Huntington's Disease Triathlon:

  • This will be our 25th year for the 100% charity event for the Huntingtons Disease Triathlon.
  • Your money will go directly to research to help find a cure for this inherited degenerative brain disorder.
  • The event will take place at Larry and Penny Thompson Park in Miami, Florida.
  • Choose to race the Sprint or the longer distance Olympic.
  • You can also make it a social event and join a Relay team (up to 3 people).
  • Enjoy the largest selection of post race refreshments while enjoying the festivities from the many volunteers who offer to come and help support this event.

    • Course Information:


    Sprint Event - .25 Mile Swim, 14 Mile Bike, 3 Mile Run
    Olympic Event - .7 Mile Swim, 21 Mile Bike,  6 Mile Run

    Swim Course:  The swim takes place at Larry and Penny Thompson Park in a crystal clear lake.  Course is set up for both the Sprint and Olympic event.

    Bike Course:  The bike ride will go through farmland areas of unincorporated Miami-Dade county (the Redlands), all on paved roads and will encounter very little vehicular traffic.

    Run Course:  The run course is on all paved paths traveling through back paths in the wood and the campgrounds at Larry and Penny Thompson Park.
