2016 HubCity Hustle Triathlon:
The HubCity Hustle is the same race but in a brand new location, Paul B. Johnson State Park. We have kept the swim the same distance at 1/3 mile and have increased the bike to 20 miles on smooth paved roads. The run will be 4 miles.
Paul B. Johnson is easy to find with plenty of parking and fun activities for the entire family. There are cabins to rent along with tent sites for those who want to stay on race site.
The 225-acre lake offers fishing, water skiing, disc golf, and swimming. The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, shellcracker, crappie, and channel catfish. The park features 25 primitive tent-camping areas, 125 RV camping pads with water, sewer and electrical hookups, and 16 vacation cabins. The park also offers 50 picnic sites with grills, six picnic pavilions, playground equipment, and a splash pad. Reservations can be made by calling the park at (601) 582-7721 or by online reservations.
Course Information:
Swim Course: 1/3 mile out and back from the beach area. The course will have lifeguards every 50 yards on paddle boards or kayaks. Once you exit the water, you will have a short run up the hill to transition.
Bike Course: New this year is the added distance to 20 miles that is an out and back course on smooth paved county roads. There are some hills and rollers on this course with an exciting finishing section back into the park. You will exit transition and go out the back of the park. All turns will be clearly marked and manned for saftey and speed.
Run Course: Once you leave transition you will run the entire 4 mile course inside the state park. There will be water on the course.

Paul B. Johnson State Park is located 15 miles south of Hattiesburg on MS Hwy 49 South. Turn off of Hwy 49 onto Geiger Lake Road, drive .4 miles, Welcome to Paul B. Johnson State Park.
