Join us for the second Lakes Region Tri Festival at Wellington State Park! Swim in the pristine clean water of Newfound Lake from the longest fresh water beach in the New Hampshire State Park system. Cycle around the lake and run along a scenic route next to the lake.
Here is what others said about last year's event:
Other than Timberman, this was my favorite race out of the 5 triathlons I did this year! Will definitely be back next year.
I did 8 sprint tri races this year and this was in the top 3! Your team was awesome and I will be back next year and will recommend the race to other triathletes.
The swim in the clean, fresh, and warm water of gorgeous Newfound Lake made this event better than others. Liked the bike around the lake and the scenic run along the shore was awesome!
Swim Course
The swim starts on the far east end of the Wellington State Park beach and follows a rectangular loop and exits the water at the west end of the beach close to the transition area.
Cycle Route
Exit the transition area; take a right turn on West Shore Road and cycle clock wise around the lake; right on North Shore Road: right on West Shore Road up to Wellington State Park on the right. Olympic distance participants will do the route twice.
The run of the Sprint distance race exit the transition area: turn right (North) on West Shore Road run along the lake shore on West Shore Road and turn around at 1.55 mile back to the transition and finish line. The Olympic distance participants will do the same route twice.
