This is the first year for an annual fitness challenge presented by the Gates Fire Department. The FireWalker is an out and back 10K and 5K walk or run starting from the Old Gates Elementary School Campus, turning onto a paved road that leads onto graveled Forest Service logging roads, up steep hills and through forrested land and back. We will time with a stopwatch system and have age categories for men and women, walkers and runners. The race starts at 10am and will be followed by awards.
